~ birth ~

Do you stay for the entire labor process?

-Yes!  Unlike a midwife or doctor doulas

are present for the entire pre-labor,              labor and a few hours after birth.

Do you have any time limit if I have a long birth?

-No!  As soon as pre labor starts at home     I am on my way and will be there for a         few hours after birth; no matter how           long it takes.

Do you help with at home births only?

-No.  Whatever mama wants mama gets.     At home births with a doula and mid           wife is a beautiful experience.  But, we       can make the experience just as                   beautiful in a hospital or birth center.

Is it covered by insurance?

-Yes.  Some birth doulas are covered by        insurance if you go through a hospital        or birth center to find one.  If you find a      private doula (like myself) it could                possibly not be covered but I offer              payment plans!

Do you have a particular style in your business?

-I am a very natural and holistic person in     my business.  Some would say I am             'mother like' in the moment.

What coping techniques do you find most helpful during labor?

-Water therapy I found to be the best            natural pain relief. I also find changing        positions with acupressure very                    important.

What is your philosophy about birth?

-I think the most important thing to               remember is that it is the birthing                 person's choice.  Birth setting, medical       intervention, support system are all             things that they should know can be           their choice!

~ postpartum ~

What Postpartum services do you provide?

-I do both day and night shifts so each         would be different and discussed further     but overall helping with breast/bottle         feeding, changing clothes/diapers,             laundry, cooking, cleaning, and making       sure everyone sleeps when possible!

Do you have a backup doula?

-Yes I do! I have multiple and make sure       not to over schedule to try and avoid           problems!

How does scheduling work? Is there a minimum of hours?

-All of this is in crazy detail in contracts        and initial visits but there is a minimum        of hours which is included in the price        discussed and I can always extend a            contract

Do you have experience in body feeding?

-I do, I have taken multiple courses          and continue to stay up to date on          any new classes and I have many tips      and tricks to share with you!

How involved are you after birth?

-As involved as you want. I normally          contract for 5-7 weeks and could              come anywhere from 2-5 days a week!

Is your CPR and immunizations all up to date?

-I am! I recently renewed my CPR              credentials and I'm immunized with        everything.

Do you have references we can talk to?

-Yes I have references about myself          and also recommendations for                doctors, chiropractor, massage                therapist, etc.
